Chica is just two years old and has already experienced a lifetime worth of hardship. She was surrendered to an area shelter, where her number soon came up - after a two month stay, she was set to be euthanized due to lack of space at the shelter. Wild Dog Rescue came in and picked her up, bringing her to the rescue. Chica's ears are full of scars - brought about when flies feasted on her ears, leaving their biting marks. Before she was surrendered to the shelter, in her previous life, she was left tied to a chain, year round. The blistering sun of summer burned her fair skin and the chill of winter tore through her thin coat of fur. Now, she has a chance to have a real life for the first time. She is an absolute sweetheart at the rescue and is quickly bonding with our volunteers. All she wants is to be loved by a family.
